He's the son with the most experience of Francesco Stallone Jr. (a hairdresser) and Jackie Stallone (astrologer, and dancer). Frank Stallone is his younger brother and actor. Childbirth complications led to the lower left portion of Sylvester's face crippled, which gave him his now-iconic "snarling" look and somewhat slurred speech. Stallone has spent a significant portion of his childhood in foster care because of the unstable parent-child relationship. The couple later split up. Stallone trained in drama at the American College in Switzerland before taking a flight to the University of Miami. After completing his studies at the end of the year, he left the school and moved to New York City in order to pursue acting as a profession.
